Buying a new home can be intimidating and challenging, and finding that great agent is like finding that great pair of shoes. If the fit is not perfect, listen to your intuition and DO NOT buy them or you will have the dreaded buyer’s remorse. If the shoes are comfortable you will keep going back to that favourite pair of shoes no matter how old and tattered they are and, tell everyone around you how comfortable they are.

I believe the same goes for buying or selling your home or property, if you are not comfortable with what you are doing or who is representing you, don’t do it.

I am happy to say that I found my “perfect fit” with Leslie and Lorna.

Leslie’s name was given to me about two years ago, I tucked it away as at that time, I was waffling back and forth, do I make the move or do I not. When I knew that I was really ready to make a change in my life I booked an appointment with three agents, all unknown to me. I put Leslie first on my list to meet with as I just had a feeling. My grandfather’s name was Leslie, my brother’s middle name is Leslie, and this is a good omen right?

We set up a meeting and I knew within 5 minutes of meeting her that Leslie would be “the one”. Her cheerful outgoing nature and knowledge sold me; she was not pushy and has a smile that lights up the room. We identified my needs and away we went. Within a couple of hours of our initial meeting I was receiving information from her on homes to look at from my wish list, and so, our journey started.

I cannot say enough about the extra miles that Leslie put on for me and what I treasure the most with Leslie is her honesty with me. She so graciously put up with my constant questions, fears, frustrations and happiness.

House hunting can be quite interesting; it is simply amazing what you see along the way, we had so many laughs and interesting encounters as well as disappointments in the weeks that we spent together, which is all part of the journey. This is what I learned about Leslie.

• If she does not know the answer, she will have if for you by end of day
• Shows strong dedication to her clients and puts their needs first
